My Platform
Supporting businesses that pay family wages
Marysville has done a great job catering to big businesses and inviting distribution giants to the area, but too little attention has been focused on the needs of the small businesses run and staffed by families.
From Health Department permits to seeking funding for elderly care, our elected officials should be advocating and working for the people, trying to meet folks where they are and lift them up, not making deals with billionaires who have employees that work and live below the poverty line.
Investing in education and transportation infrastructure
As schools close, class sizes grow and the roads get more crowded, it’s time to ask ourselves if maintaining the leadership that got us in this situation is the right course of action.
Marysville deserves elected officials who show up for more than a photoshoot, who dig in to help, lobby for sustainable growth and accessibility for all. It’s time we worked towards building a future together.
Ensuring Due Process and other rights remain intact
I took my oath of enlistment at 17 and swore to defend the Constitution of the United States of America, the same oath that every elected official in office has also sworn to uphold and defend. The right to a fair and legal trial, assemble and speak freely, to worship (or not) as you so choose, free from harassment by the government.
I intend to ensure that Marysville will remain a city where all are free to live, work and play without government overreach that violates the Constitution or the people of this community.
Addressing crime through prevention and supporting Law enforcement mental health
Building affordable housing, creating livable wages, and advocating for affordable healthcare will go a long way in helping to prevent crime, but more importantly, it will go a long way towards improving our community and the lives of those who live here.
As a Veteran with PTSD, I know firsthand the struggles that come with balancing service and mental health. Responding to high stress situations, day after day takes its toll, and seeking help or therapy shouldn’t be the end of a career, it should be encouraged and supported to make sure that when Law Enforcement arrives to help, everyone is safe
